Active Gloucestershire supports Gloucester Knife Angel

14th February 2023 | Gloucestershire

Active Gloucestershire is proud to be a partner of the Gloucester Knife Angel.

Physical activity has a powerful way of bringing people together; it can have a positive impact on our mood and can make a real difference to our health and wellbeing. Physical activity is also great for connecting people and it can be helpful to those who are dealing with grief and loss.

It is also a fantastic way to raise money for Gloucester’s fight against knife crime in the city. We hope to see people participating in any way they can. Our support goes to all of those organising, volunteering or taking part in the #Run4Ramarni events starting on the 20th February.

In addition to the many personal benefits being active has on our physical and mental health, evidence also suggests that sport and physical activity can play a vital role in connecting communities, creating safe spaces and providing positive activities for young people.

By working together, we want to reduce knife crime in Gloucester and create a county where everyone is able to get active in the place that’s right for them. We will continue to work with clubs, groups, organisations and young people from across the city to help shape this, allowing everyone in Gloucestershire to lead happy and healthy lives.

Members of Active Gloucestershire will be taking part in the #Run4Ramarni to show their support. If you would like to take part, sign up at Gloucester Knife Angel Run or Walk for Ramarni 20th-26th Feb #Run4Ramarni Tickets, Multiple Dates | Eventbrite
