What will you do with my story?

We will use this to celebrate all Gloucestershire schools working towards getting their children active by sharing this with other schools and on our website and social media channels.

As part of the Dear Daily Mile campaign, sharing your story also allows you to share your successes and challenges with other schools in Gloucestershire, and be part of a movement to encourage every child in Gloucestershire to be active.

Why not have some extra fun with your children and get them to write to ‘Dear Daily Mile,’ and tell us their favourite thing about doing The Daily Mile.

What is The Daily Mile?

The Daily Mile is a fun, free and simple initiative where children run or jog for fifteen minutes every day.

It promotes social and emotional wellbeing and good mental health, as well as fitness. Children can run their Daily Mile in their school clothes, and no special kit or equipment is required.

We would love to see all the Gloucestershire children doing The Daily Mile.
