The very young are encouraged to play golf and there are tasters for much older newcomers ….. but what about the 1625 year olds?
For this age groupprobably these days rather short of cashthe County Golf Partnership, ActiveGloucestershire and Sportivate have joined forces to organise vastly discounted starter lessons at clubs across the area.
For just £30 young people can sign up for a course of six lessons, covering all aspects of the game, and participating clubs are also offering further opportinities including followup trial membership packages.
The project, called Tee2Green, starts in February so contact one of the clubs listed below, quoting code Tee2Green
The first of the ten weekly sessions is on Friday 3rd February at 11am at GL1, Gloucester, GL1 1DT.

Back to Netball is designed to provide a gentle introduction to the sport for female players over 16 years of age. Sessions are coach led and cover basic skill development and court play. The emphasis of the sessions is learning new skills and having fun whilst playing.
Experienced coach and player Jo Capaldi is running the sessions and comments:
“Back to Netball is a fantastic way for women to re introduce themselves back into the game. Not only are they surprised how quickly they develop skills but also how much they improve their fitness levels and havefun, demonstrating why netball is among the top ten women's participation sports in England."
