Hello and welcome to our new eNewsletter.
We know that we need to continue to improve our communication and extend our reach with stakeholders, partners and the general public which is why we have re-launched our website and introduced this eNewsletter.
We intend that the website will become a source of current and good quality information, advice and assistance to anyone involved in sport and physical; activity - whether as a participant, parent, teacher, coach, club secretary, governing body volunteer, centre manager, development officer, youth and community worker, student or spectator. Please take a look at www.activegloucestershire.org and let us know what you think.
The eNewsletter will be issued approximately every other month. It will contain information about current and forthcoming opportunities and events, topical national and regional news, information about the work of other organisations, especially grant making bodies and examples of good local projects submitted by partners. We want to encourage as many people and organisations as possible to register to receive future copies which is why this first issue just focuses on the new website where you will be able to sign up on the home page.
The eNewsletter is for everyone so if you have articles that you would like featured please submit them to kfarr@glos.ac.uk in time for the publication dates.
We want to build a community of people and organisations committed to our vision of "Making Gloucestershire a Physically Active and Successful Sporting County" so I hope that the value that you feel you get out of the website and eNewsletter will grow.
Thank you for your interest and support and we look forward to working with you in the future.

John Stevens
Chief Executive Officer
