With London hosting the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, there is no better time to get involved in sports volunteering. 70,000 volunteers will be required to support the operation of both the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London.

Team South West 
The south west region is the only region to have an actual 2012 venue outside London. Already sailors from throughout the world are plotting a course to Weymouth in Dorset where the olympic and Paralympic regattas will be held.
In addition the venues (Millfield School and Bath University) have been shortlisted as potential training camps for British Teams and we have many other venues in the region seeking to host training camps in the run up to 2012.
In Gloucestershire Hartpury College and a consortium of the University of Gloucestershire and Cheltenham and Gloucester councils hope to become training venues, so 2012 could be coming to our doorsteps.
