We're in it together

Active Ageing Forum

The Active Ageing Forum is a growing network made up of over 120 organisations working across Gloucestershire who are passionate about increasing opportunities for people to be more physically active in their local area.

As well as providing information on local insight, funding and training opportunities, the Active Ageing Forum provides voluntary and community organisations, charities, health professionals and facility providers chance to network and build relationships with local, likeminded partners that could open up new and exciting opportunities for older people to take part in sport and physical activity programmes.

Bookings for the next Active Ageing Forum, which will be held on Tuesday 4th July 2017 at Churchdown Community Centre, Parton Road GL3 2JH from 9.45am - 12.45pm, are now open.

The Forum will feature key note speakers, networking and sharing opportunities, innovative practice development as well as cointrywide updates from Active Gloucestershire.

Bookings are free and must be made via Eventbrite here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/active-ageing-forum-july-2017-tickets-34622435637

The Forum is open to anyone, but we feel it would be particularly useful for those working to increase opportunities for older people in Gloucestershire to become physically active including:

  • Anyone working directly with older people in Gloucestershire
  • Voluntary and community group representatives
  • Community, care home or residential settings
  • Health and wellbeing professionals
  • Service providers
  • Activity providers, deliverers or facilities
