Teams of Play Rangers work in urban parks and rural green spaces, providing free, open access play, sports and arts and crafts toschool-aged children across the six county districts of Cheltenham, Cotswolds, Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Stroud and Tewkesbury. Play Rangers are qualified playworkers who take their skills and equipment to where the children are. Their policy is open access, so it is free to use and there is no registration. Children can come and go as they please. Activities are targeted at 8 to 14 year olds. Under 8's are welcome accompanied by a parent or carer. Activities include active play, den building, fires, arts and crafts, sports and games.
