Coaching System Support Network
Active Gloucestershire are committed to supporting the UK Coaching Framework's vision of 'creating a cohesive, ethical, inclusive and valued coaching system where skilled coaches support children, players and athletes at all stages of their development in sport' (sports coach UK, 2009).
In order to achieve this Active Gloucestershire has employed a Coaching Development Manager (CDM) who has established a Coaching System Support Network (CSSN) within the County.
Coaching System Support Networks are defined as a grouping of agencies within each of the Home Countries that are formally committed to supporting Governing Bodies in the development of world leading coaching systems, using the UK Coaching Framework as a key point of reference. Within Gloucestershire key partners include:

- Sports Coach UK
- Gloucester and North Tewkesbury SSP
- Forest of Dean SSP
- Cotswolds SSP
- District Sports Services
- Cotswolds District Council
- Archery GB
- Gloucestershire Cricket Board
- Aspire Sports and Cultural Trust
The CSSN will lead the implementation of Minimum Standards for Deployment in the County and the development of a Coaching Strategy amongst many other things.
