John is responsible for the development, implementation and evolution of a strategic framework for sport and physical activity in the county and gaining wide commitment and support for meeting the objectives of the framework from the public, private and voluntary sectors in the county.
John has overall responsibility for leading, managing, directing, controlling, developing and achieving the strategic direction of Active Gloucestershire.
Kerry's responsibilities include engaging with National Governing Bodies of Sport and ensuring the deliverivering of the Core Specification set by Sport England.
Kerry is also responsible for the delivery of the Sportivate Programme in Gloucestershire as well as supporting other areas of delivery such as Coaching and the Sport Makers programme
Andy is responsible for increasing the number of active coaches within Gloucestershire and implementing support mechanisms that will help develop the local coaching workforce. He is also responsible for providing coaching data to National Governing Bodies of Sport and will be leading on the Sport Makers programme which is part of the People strand of Sport England’s London 2012 mass participation legacy programme Places, People, Play.
Kirsty leads, develops and successfully delivers Active Gloucestershire’s children and young people programmes including; Gloucestershire School Games (including School Games Volunteering), Change4Life Secondary Clubs, Satellite Clubs and Club Link Makers.
Jamie's main responisbilities include maintaing and developing the Active Gloucestershire website, newsletter and promotional material, as well as handing all of Active Gloucestershire's other marketing needs.
Since joining the team in 2009, Holly has moved from being an Active Start Coach, to a new role as Sports Development Officer. Holly is the Early Year's specialist for the Active Start Programme and is the lead for the NHS work which the programme delivers.
She has recently become a qualified Zumba® fitness instructor which she will be delivering as part of the Sportivate Programme
Since joining the team in 2009, Katie has moved from being an Active Start Coach, to a new role as Sports Development Officer. She specialises in the Active Start Early Years programme providing coaching, training and mentoring to a range of settings across the country.
Katie is the lead officer for the Community Games programme established as part of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Legacy.
Patrick is a new intern studying Business Management at the University of Gloucestershire.
His job role involves administering and supporting the Training and Education programmes of Active Gloucestershire, supporting the development and maintenance of Active Gloucestershire's website, newsletter, connect2coaching and other communication channels, as well as maintaining the main office phone and email system.
Eric is the full-time Secretary of the Gloucestershire Cricket Board and plays a critical role in school-based delivery and club development in the Gloucester area. He is qualified to Level 3 and coached the Gloucestershire Under 13 squad from 2003-09 before moving to the Under 11 squad in 2010. He has considerable experience in playing, coaching and administering cricket in Gloucestershire and is presently captain of the 5th X1, coach of the U11A team and is Chairman of the Finance Committee at Frocester
Martyn is responsible for the disability table tennis accross Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Avon and Somerset. At county level he is involved in club support and development
Emma is the Regional Officer for Badminton England temporarily covering Avon & Gloucestershire. Working with key partners, including Clubs, coaches, schools/colleges, LA and CSPs, she has a remit to support local badminton delivery through Community Badminton Networks.
At a regional level Rachel's role includes line management, stategic planning and taking the lead on existing and new facilities. At county level, Rachel is responsible for the development of netball and works closely with Gloucestershire County Netball Association to deliver the County Plan for netball.
