Cheltenham Racecourse will again be the prestigous sporting venue for the 2008 Gloucestershire Sports Awards.
The Gloucestershire Sports Awards are designed to recognise and reward the outstanding efforts of the Gloucestershire sporting community. Each award is designed to celebrate the dedication and hard work coaches, volunteers, officials, clubs and teachers put into developing sport within the county.
Nominations for awards which will be presented by Olympic swimmer and broadcaster Sharron Davies MBE, on Thursday 27th November at Cheltenham Racecourse, closed on Friday 10th October. We received a tremendous number of nominations which reflects the dedication and great work of clubs, volunteers, coaches, officials and teachers across the County. A selection of representatives from sporting backgrounds around the county have now reviewed over 100 nominations and short listed the following:

For the first time the Gloucestershire Sports Awards have opened the guest list up to all Gloucestershire residents! If you would like to attend this prestigious event at Cheltenham Racecourse on Thursday 27th November you can now buy a ticket for £25 per person. Groups of 8 or more will receive a discount of £5 per person. Tickets include a welcome drink and a buffet dinner along with the chance to meet guest speaker Olympic swimmer and broadcaster Sharron Davies MBE.
