Gloucestershire Sports Awards 2007 Winners and Photos
The unsung heroes of sport in Gloucestershire were celebrated on Friday night 9th November at the 2007 Gloucestershire Sports Awards in front of an audience of over a hundred. Organised by Active Gloucestershire the event gives recognition to the tireless, dedicated and inspirational coaches, clubs, volunteers and teachers that are the lifeblood of sport in the county.
Gloucestershire Sports Award Winners 2007:
- Young Performers Coach of the Year: Janet Bishop
- Disability Sports Coach of the Year: Terry Parker
- Rookie Coach of the Year: James Dent
- Performance Coach of the Year Sponsored by Willans solicitors: Christopher Frapwell
- Junior Club of the Year: Mitcheldean Juniors FC
- Adult Club of the Year: Longlevens FC
- Performance Club of the Year: Cheltenham Swimming and Water Polo Club
- Junior Volunteer of the Year: Tom Walter
- Senior Volunteer of the Year: Mike Sheppard
- Secondary PE Teacher of the Year Sponsored by Gloucestershire County Council: Paul Shand
- Primary PE Teacher of the Year Sponsored by Gloucestershire County Council: Alison Dixon
- HSBC Outstanding Services to Sport in Gloucestershire: Barrie Lewis
