
Developed by Sport England, Clubmark is a set of National standards for National Governing Bodies of Sport to adopt and their affiliated clubs to meet. The scheme recognises and accredits clubs that are committed to providing safe, effective and child friendly environments for young people.
Clubmark focuses on the following key areas of development:
- Duty of care & Child protection
- Coaching & CompetitionSports
- Equity & Ethics
- Club management
Clubs achieving Clubmark will receive National and local recognition and given the right to use the Clubmark logo on their club promotional material.
The benefits of Clubmark to clubs:
As a result, each club gaining accreditation will:
- Become better organised and resources as a club to assist its own development.
- Have the potential to increase membership and so ensure the future of their club whilst increasing the competitive pool from which to draw in the future.
- Be networked into local and National sports organisations that can provide further support to Clubmark clubs.
- Be promoted in their local community through a National database.
